Thankful on Thanksgiving

I am thankful on this day, and every other day, for everyone in my life, and for all of the opportunities God has given me so far. I'm thankful for my past and the present. And I'm thankful for all of the people that have made it possible to live such a joyful life: family, friends, guardian angels, teachers, smiling strangers, and my readers. I am thankful for the ability to dance, to sing, to laugh, and to love. I am thankful for God, for my faith, and for my grace.

I always spend Thanksgiving in Georgia with my family: grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Unfortunately, one of my uncles and his family were unable to come this year due to work. Thanksgiving is never the same without them. However, I am thankful to have been surrounded by everyone else! Thanksgiving, as you all know, is a time about being thankful and showing appreciation, so I want this blog post to be short, and to allow my pictures to speak for this lovely day!
“Life without thankfulness is devoid of love and passion. Hope without thankfulness is lacking in fine perception. Faith without thankfulness lacks strength and fortitude. Every virtue divorced from thankfulness is maimed and limps along the spiritual road.”
― John Henry Jowett

October is Over

October was definitely one of the busiest months I've had all school year, which is why I'm just now getting around to posting about one of my favorite times of the year! I love October! It's one of my favorite months because it's when you start feeling the fall vibes. I love bundling up and drinking tea on the weekends and being able to wear booties when I go out with the girls. October is nearly a season all to itself... spooky season... my favorite season.

I love binge watching horror movies any chance I get, I wait all month for Halloween, and I love carving pumpkins, however, it's the days leading up to Halloween that are some of the best of the year.

To start off October this year, we had homecoming. I went to dinner with some friends, took a few pictures, and danced the night away. That was just the beginning, because within the next few weeks, I was drinking apple cider with my friends at Sky Top Orchardtaking pictures on the parkway, eating Middle Eastern food in downtown Asheville, and having a few photoshoots with my friends! My Mimi also came up from Georgia for her annual visit where we go and pick pumpkins at Grandad's Apples. If you have yet to travel here, the fall is when to come! This seasonal change is one you wouldn't want to spend anywhere else! Asheville would love to have you.

Finally, Halloween! The 31st rolled around with a fun night. I got to spend it running around and jamming out with some of my coolest friends! The older I've gotten, the less I've cared about getting candy (kinda), and the more I've cared about getting dressed up and spending a chill night with my friends, and that's exactly what we did!

Here are some pictures from my Spooky Season adventures! ⤵
